Dee Zee, Inc, based in Des Moines,
Iowa, is celebrating over 30 years as a leading
supplier of aftermarket truck accessories. Dee
Zee announced their arrival with the introduction
of 12 custom fit britetread or extruded aluminum
running board applications at the 1977 Sema
Show in Las Vegas. From that November to today,
Dee Zees’ mission is to market the highest
quality truck products while satisfying the
needs of their customers.
Dee Zee has expanded the initial offering of
12 boards to over 120 running boards and accessories.
Their product lines now boast over 80 different
toolboxes, 20 tube products, Numerous Mossy
Oak® Break Up ™ CAMO products, and
a wide selection of heavy-duty products. The
various product lines account for over 2,000
total SKU’s.
To answer market trends Dee Zee has added numerous
products. These include Elite Chrome Stainless
Steel Tubes, UltraBlack tubes, FX Extruded running
boards and side box boards. ABS plastic bed
protection, Dash FormZ and Vizor Caddys, Wrench
WorX, and the all new EZ Down.
The FX running board manufactured by Dee Zee
is among the hottest looking running board on
the market. Dee Zee added the Chrome FX board
to the existing family of FX products. These
boards are constructed from the highest quality
aluminum finished with a vacuum metalization
process. Chrome running boards are an attractive
addition to any light truck or sport utility
vehicle. The FX Extruded, FX Black, FX Brite-tread,
and the FX Stainless Steel applications complete
the FX family.
In response to the desire for an original equipment
look with an aftermarket product, Dee Zee introduced
the Guardian series running board. The aluminum
extrusion provides the strength while the paintable
trim customizes the application. As with all
applications these boards are vehicle specific.
Along with the all new for 2007, Sentinel Running
Board. This running board features aluminum
extrusions with full length stainless steel
accent trim.
Dee Zee was among the first to offer factory
controlled powdercoat protection to their aluminum
products. Whether the coating is clear, black
or white it prevents oxidation and guarantees
the ease of soap and water cleaning.
Dee Zee is also a key manufacturer of aluminum
toolboxes. Among the quality construction features
is the self-adjusting, multi-level striker latch.
The latch eliminates the need for adjustments
and consistently closes more securely than competitive
options. The box bodies are pressed from a single
sheet of aluminum and have total seam side welded;
they stand up to even the heaviest loads. Dee
Zee provides the consumer with four levels of
quality boxes. Once again Dee Zee offers the
powder-coat protection on most models.
The light truck or SUV owner is demanding more
and more tube product choices. Dee Zee manufactures
a complete line of 4"oval or 3" round
tube nerf steps. New in 2005 was a 5" oval
chrome or gloss black tube. As with the running
boards, Dee Zee completes the look with matching
bed accessories. From the front truck grill
guards to the matching rails, the consumer can
accessorize their vehicles with Dee Zee products.
